A massive tornado tore a 6-mile path through the heart of Joplin, Missouri, leaving many dead, injured and displaced. The tornado ripped through a hospital and left countless churches, schools, businesses and homes in ruins. It is estimated that 25 to 30 percent of the city was destroyed.
