Logistics Coordinator – Product Distribution


  • Establish and build relationships with new and existing partner organizations focused on the delivery of medical aid
  • Work closely with donor companies and the HHI Resource Development department to review and respond to donation offers.
  • Work closely with partner organizations to build orders for medical aid and facilitate the distribution of medical aid to partner organizations.


  • Manage the application and vetting process of new partner organizations interested in receiving medical aid from HHI
  • Research and analyze new partner organizations, including supply chain and monitoring and evaluation capacities, to determine the fit with the mission of HHI for and the ability of the partner to comply with supply chain standards and reporting requirements
  • Maintain a reliable and up-to-date database of all partner organizations interested in and currently receiving medical aid from HHI
  • Maintains ongoing positive relationships with each partner organizations.

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate between internal stakeholders including the HHI Resource Development, Operations and Logistics departments regarding inbound product donations and the status of orders/outbound shipments.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the donation review and acceptance process to maximize acceptance, appropriate distribution and minimize product destruction.
  • Ensure that donation offer acceptances support organizational strategic objectives and ongoing HHI programs.


Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, International Studies, Communications, or related field from four-year college or university; or at least six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communications:  Exhibits good listening and comprehension. Expresses ideas and thoughts clearly both in written form and verbally. Keeps others adequately informed. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Relationship Building:  Exhibits excellent relationship building skills and ability to communicate and sell the concept of the pharmaceutical and medical supply redistribution program.

Logistics Coordinator – PowrServ

Heart to Heart International (HHI) strengthens communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering crisis relief worldwide. PowrServ is a program of HHI that offers unique philanthropic team-building events that engage participants with a hands-on activity of assembling hygiene kits that meet the needs of people impacted by crisis or disaster.


  • Support of PowerServ operations
  • Product-oriented
  • Cross-trained in general inventory and shipments


  • Work in HHI’s inventory system to create kit orders and shipments
  • Effectively communicate status of kit orders and shipments to PowrServ Team
  • Arrange transportation and prepare shipping documents


  • Oversee ongoing competitive bidding process with existing suppliers, research and onboard new suppliers
  • Conduct market research to analyze and negotiate pricing to secure the best price for items that HHI needs to purchase
  • Work with PowrServ and Operations Teams to determine the quality and quantity of the goods to be purchased and ensure delivery within the specified timeframe
  • Works with PowrServ and Operations Teams to ensure products are available for kit assembly events and arranges transportation of supplies to and from events


  • Maintain records to track key performance indicators
  • Ensure that reports are completed in a timely manner and in specified format
  • Accurately enter data into, and effectively run reports from, HHI’s inventory management system
  • Provide regular reports on inventory levels, kit assembly events and kit distribution


  • Manage special projects or initiatives, as assigned by the Director
  • Provides logistics support to HHI programs organization-wide when required
  • Represent HHI with professionalism in all dealings with partners, contractors, vendors, volunteers, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Missouri Community Health Worker – Contract Worker

This position is located in southeast Missouri. The applicant will work and must live in one of (4) counties: Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid or Pemiscot. 

Community Health Workers (CHWs) will play an important role in Heart to Heart International’s rural health initiative and will be involved in developing a strategy for community members to identify important concerns and conduct research to better understand the root causes of problems. CHWs will be integral in helping HHI facilitate community participation to identify their strengths and resources; prioritize needs and gaps in existing services; develop action plans; and design, implement, test and evaluate new programs. Community Health Workers will be the frontline workers for Heart to Heart’s programs and initiatives, and their role will be critical to improving health outcomes for the communities we serve.

  • Must reside in Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid or Pemiscot County
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • High school diploma or its equivalent; some college preferred
  • One to two years of responsible work experience in a community- based setting preferred
  • Knowledge of some medical terminology preferred
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and use language appropriately
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be a trustworthy member of the community

Program Officer

This position is located in southeast Missouri.  The applicant will work in a (4) county region (Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid and Pemiscot).

The Program Officer works directly with HHI Executive Director, other HHI staff, partner organizations and the community to coordinate activities associated with the rural health initiative. The position is primarily focused on the overall management and day-to-day execution of the projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned in the Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid and Pemiscot counties in southeast Missouri. The office is located in Hayti, Missouri.

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, social work or similar field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible work experience and demonstrated success in program coordination.
  • Professional Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
