HHI Responds to Hurricane Harvey & Irma

HHI has been treating hurricane victims in Texas since Harvey hit the coast. Our medical teams are currently working in the Houston area, operating free clinics which provide the health safety net for thousands of hurricane victims. Advance teams are in Florida treating patients and assessing the Florida Keys. Our medical teams are spreading out to help those affected by Irma in Flordia, Haiti and other Caribbean nations. HHI will stay as long as we are needed.

Free Clinic Upgrades with No-Cost Laboratory

Patient care at the Free Clinic of Franklin County has become even better thanks to the addition of a Point of Care Laboratory courtesy of BD, a global medical technology company. Free Clinic Medical Director Dr. Tiffany Powell said that having an on-site lab will “save a lot of time and improve patient care.” Before the lab's installation last week, very little lab work could be done at the clinic.

Historic flooding resulted in extensive damage to over 500 homes, businesses, and property in Neosho. Many families lost everything. Heart to Heart International arrived in Neosho on Sunday, April 30th, with bottled water and hygiene supplies. Volunteer clean up teams arrived last weekend to assist homeowners in the flood recovery process.
