The Success Story

Heart to Heart is all about creating a healthier world. Sometimes “health” refers to emotional well-being. Knowing that someone took the time to assemble a Heart to Heart Care Kit or SchoolPack™ sends an emotionally uplifting message. It says, “You are not alone” and “We care about you.”

As another form of supporting our global work, we encourage you to collect and/or pack specialized items that we can deliver in the U.S. and around the world. You can assemble these items yourself or make it a family affair. You can even get your workplace, school, university, civic club or faith community involved in the project.

One such project takes place every summer. Hundreds of volunteers throughout the Midwest help us assemble Heart to Heart SchoolPacks—backpacks full of essential, age-appropriate school supplies. The SchoolPacks are then distributed to disadvantaged children and youth. We recently received a thank-you from a teenager who said she was thinking about dropping out of school, because she didn’t feel anyone cared about her anymore. But after receiving her SchoolPack, she said she changed her mind and was looking forward to the coming school year. The SchoolPack gave her all the tools to succeed in the classroom and the confidence to succeed in life.

It may require some assembly on your part, but it will make a world of difference to someone in need today!
