We think of “corporate” donors as much more than Fortune 500 companies and local businesses. To us, a corporate donor is any group—such as schools, universities, civic clubs, local organizations and faith communities—that is interested in supporting our humanitarian mission with a charitable contribution.
Most corporate donors support us financially. They appreciate our efficiency and often see themselves as investors in our efforts to create a healthier world. They appreciate the fact that we are not just focusing our programs in international areas, but that we are also working to help Americans in need. One of the easiest ways that donors support our efforts is by sponsoring one or more of our special events. Sponsorships support our humanitarian operations and help your company promote its affiliation with Heart to Heart.
Corporate donors often offer in-kind donations as another way to support our mission. These donations—whether it is medical aid, professional services or something in between—enable us to stretch our resources even further and focus on creating a healthier world.
Other donors have professional services they provide to us on a pro-bono basis to fill gaps in our operations. Common services involve legal affairs, human-resources management, accounting, public relations, marketing, graphic design, website management, program development, crisis management, incident evaluation and much more.

Many companies offer a matching-gift program to support the charitable donations of their employees. Most programs match dollar-for-dollar up to a certain amount for donations to community efforts of strategic interest to your company. Consider making Heart to Heart your “first call” whenever a major disaster happens and match employee donations to our response.
Corporate donors also support employee-engagement programs. Many companies, schools and universities already have a community-service aspect to their culture. We can help you develop a volunteer channel that enables your associates and members to get involved in our local and global work. It is an excellent team-building exercise. It also energizes the employees and the whole workplace.
