Putting Donations to Good Use

Individuals, couples and families comprise the largest portion of our donor base. We enjoy support from individuals in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A majority of these donors have supported us for many years—including some who have donated every year of our existence!

One of the reasons for this loyal support is that Heart to Heart uses every donation wisely. We operate on a historically low overhead of less than 2 percent—meaning that 98 percent of all contributions goes to our humanitarian programs and services. We also leverage every donation and deliver an average of $25 worth of aid for every $1 cash donation.

Another reason that individuals support us is that we give them several options for their donations.

Online Giving

One of the easiest ways to make a difference today is to donate online. Working with our community partners at TouchNet Information Systems, we have created a convenient giving channel. Thanks to TouchNet, every penny of your donation comes to us (rather than a portion going to the credit-card companies for processing).

Workplace Campaigns

Support our humanitarian operations through regular payroll deductions. Ask your United Way coordinator for a Donor Choice Card and fill in Heart to Heart International as your “preferred charity” for United Way funds. Government and military employees can give to us through the annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Simply indicate Heart to Heart as your “preferred charity” and use our CFC code (#11100).

Monthly Giving
