Going Global

In the corporate world, one of the chief milestones is the day you go global. At Heart to Heart, we go global every day. We are in the business of creating a healthier world and corporate volunteers can play a key role in helping us achieve that mission.

We regularly recruit small teams of volunteers to travel overseas and assist us in our health-focused programs. We plan excursions for the team, so you get a deeper appreciation for the culture into which you will immerse yourself for 8-10 days, but these trips are not vacations and they are not for the weaklings.

You will travel off the beaten path and experience a part of the world that few foreigners visit on a regular basis. That is why we call it a service adventure. During the trip, you will discover how your efforts are helping us improve health in an underserved region of the world.

Our international volunteers serve a variety of programmatic roles, including:

  • Medical Educator: These volunteers instruct and exchange information related to advances in medicine and medical care with colleagues in a symposium or academic setting.
  • Medical Trainer: These volunteers provide hands-on, program-specific training for administrators and healthcare workers in a clinical setting.
  • Builder: These volunteers work alongside local laborers to construct healthcare and educational facilities.
  • Two Willing Hands: These volunteers perform a variety of behind-the-scenes roles in support of our health-focused programs, including projects for children at our training sites.
