Idyllwild, California – May 2, 2015
Nathaniel Farmer: There was a 48 hour stretch of bad, wet weather. I didn’t even bring rain pants for this section since its SoCal and they’re in the worst drought they’ve known. With all my socks, shoes and tent wet – I roomed up with some people in Mount Laguna.
Ever since then the weather and the hiking have been great though and I have no major complaints with my body. It was and still is my main concern. Today I’m resting up with some new friends in Idyllwild before we leave tomorrow morning to go through an 86 mile stretch to Big Bear.
Tomorrow we’ll summit Mount Jacinto, the highest point yet at 10,834 feet. It should be quite the haul with packs loaded down with 5 days worth of food. I’ll try to update at Big Bear, peace out Mutha Muchachos!
