OLATHE, Kan./October 12, 2006 — Heart to Heart International Inc., a leading global humanitarian organization, today announced that Forbes magazine has ranked Heart to Heart on its “Forbes 200” list of America’s top charities.
The magazine ranked nonprofits on 10 criteria, including charitable commitment, fundraising efficiency and donor dependency. Forbes specifically mentioned Heart to Heart International in its editorial content, naming the organization as one of the best in “wise use of donor resources.”
“We are thrilled to be named on the Forbes 200 list,” said Jon D. North, Heart to Heart’s CEO. “This ranking shines a bright light on the efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers and demonstrates the enduring trust that donors have in our humanitarian work around the world.”
Heart to Heart ranked #165 on the “Forbes 200”. The publication used public IRS filings and other financial data from 2005 as a basis for their rankings and it generally avoids ranking universities, foundations and other entities that do not rely heavily on private funding.
