Nepal Earthquake

Treating girl

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal on April 25, 2015 killed more than 8,000 and injured thousands more.

OUR RESPONSE

Medical Team

We rapidly deployed a mobile medical team which trekked into the Himalayas, into a zone of destruction, to treat earthquake survivors. To bolster the team’s capacity, we sent in enough medicine and supplies to treat up to 10,000 people for up to three months.

Relief Aid & Supplies

Utilizing a longtime partnership with FedEx, we also shipped more than 15 tons of emergency supplies and food to partner organizations for distribution in Nepal. Working together has a faster and greater impact on the lives of so many.

Beyond those supplies, we helped other aid agencies transport their own relief supplies into Nepal.  Thanks again to our partnership with FedEx, we provided logistical support for Samaritan’s Purse and Water Missions International to ship 47 pallets loaded with water filtration and treatment systems.
