Global Response Network
Transporting relief supplies to a disaster zone is one of the most difficult challenges facing humanitarian groups that respond to people in crisis. Heart to Heart has overcome this challenge through an innovative partnership with FedEx. Together, we have created a global response network of Forward Response Centers.
The goal of our Forward Response Center (FRC) network is rapid response: We want to get targeted aid to almost any region of the world affected by disaster quickly and efficiently.
These centers contain specific goods—medical aid, hygiene products, water-purification systems, tents, tarps and blankets*—that are needed in most types of relief efforts. Heart to Heart procures the goods and FedEx ships them for pre-staging at several of its international locations.

We activated the FRC network in November 2006 and have utilized each response center numerous times—most notably in our recent response to earthquake victims in China.
