Europe/Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan

Heart to Heart is already gearing up for the next Physicians With Heart initiative in October 2008. This year’s project takes our health partners to the former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan, October 17-26.

During our 10-day trip that centers in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek, we will build capacity for health through training and education initiatives that focus on maternal health and primary care. We will also increase access to health by delivering much-needed medical aid to hospitals that serve impoverished people. Further, we will strengthen communities by improving sanitation and raising the quality of life at facilities that serve children.
