Increasing Access:

Because of Mexico’s proximity to the United States, many medical teams travel to underserved regions of the country to provide ongoing care. Heart to Heart supports these efforts to increase access to health with donated medicines, supplies and diagnostic instruments. We also promote a set of best practices in medical missions, so each group operates responsibly and leaves each community they serve better off than when they arrived.

Responding to People in Crisis:

Heart to Heart delivered a shipment of targeted aid for the people in the Tabasco region of Mexico. This region experienced widespread flooding after torrential rains caused a breach in the region’s primary dam. The flooding affected more than 2 million people, whom the government moved to temporary shelters. We provided aid to clinics in these shelters, so flood victims had access to basic health services.
