In December 2004, an underwater earthquake off the coast of Sumatra caused a tsunami that eventually struck 13 countries and claimed more than 200,000 lives. Sri Lanka was one of those hard-hit countries, and it is still recovering today.
Heart to Heart has been part of the healing process in Sri Lanka. Not only did we deliver an airlift full of medical aid, food and water, but we also have exhibited “staying power” by becoming involved in the recovery and rebuilding process.
