COVID-19: How You Can Help
April 1, 2020 – Heart to Heart International is currently looking for providers (DO, MD, PA, NP) and nurses (RN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT) who would be willing to support a need in the KC Metro.
HHI has been in conversation with the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness and the Veteran’s Community Project to provide medical services in the KC community. Recently local hospitals’ mobile medical outreach teams have ceased operations due to COVID-19. As a result, the predominantly homeless population that accessed these mobile health services are now going to local fixed facilities, which is placing burden on the healthcare system.
We have been requested to provide medical services with our Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) and volunteers at the Hope Faith Homeless Assistance Campus (705 Virginia Ave KCMO) on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9AM – 4PM.

Good hygiene is critical in this time of the COVID-19 global pandemic, especially in vulnerable communities. We have already distributed thousands of kits to local shelters, healthcare facilities, school districts, faith-based programs, food pantries, public safety organizations, and more. And, the simple reality is, we need more to keep pace with this unprecedented demand.
March 22, 2020 –
We need Kansas City’s help.
The world is experiencing a shortage of surgical masks and respirators. It’s crucial for health care workers, doctors, and nurses on the front lines of the disease to have the proper protective gear to lower the risk of contracting COVID-19. Right here in Kansas City hospitals are running short on these essential items.
Heart to Heart International is asking everyone to check their medicine cabinets, garages, workbenches, and storage bins for N95 and other medical masks. Even if you only have one, your local hospital needs it. To keep the burden off the already stretched hospital staff, we ask you to bring the masks to HHI, and we will make sure they are delivered to local hospitals in need.
Starting Monday, March 23rd, you can bring masks to an outdoor drop off site in front of Heart to Heart International headquarters.
