Registered Nurse – Disaster Response Team

Heart to Heart International (HHI) strengthens communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering disaster relief worldwide. Following the response in the Bahamas, HHI is establishing the necessary health infrastructure and expanding the healthcare capacity in Treasure Cay, Abaco, and the surround informal settlements through outreach clinics.

Heart to Heart International is currently seeking to contract a Registered Nurse (RN) position to support the implementation of medical services as part of the “Improved Healthcare Access in Abaco Initiative”. The Disaster Response Team (DRT) RN will support medical activities to provide effective mobile trauma and medical care to the population affected by Hurricane Dorian.

A DRT RN must be extremely flexible. Clinic locations change often as the needs change constantly on the ground. A DRT RN can expect to work long hours, sleep in uncomfortable areas, and travel long hours to ensure HHI reaches patients in the greatest need.
