At 1:15 a.m. EST, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, the Champlain Towers South in Surfside, Florida, a 12-story residential building, partially collapsed, destroying approximately 55 of the oceanfront complex’s 136 units.
As of July 6, 2021, a total of 36 people are confirmed to have died, 11 were injured and at least 109 remain unaccounted for after the tragedy in Miami-Dade County. Hundreds of first responders and volunteers have been working around the clock to locate any survivors or human remains in the wreckage.
We have sent hygiene kits, children’s comfort kits, and hand sanitizer to augment the efforts of Patriot Emergency Response and Florida Disaster Rescue to support families, residents and first responders.
Our hearts are with all those who have been impacted by this tragedy.
