Signet Jewelers joins forces with Heart to Heart International

When the news of COVID-19 hit the United States, corporations scrambled to sort out business operations as well as corporate giving. Heart to Heart International was fortunate to be the recipient of a $100,000 donation from first-time donor Signet Jewelers in response to meeting critical needs for PPE and personal hygiene items in communities all throughout the country.

Access to Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) was one of the most challenging issues for the health care community nationwide during the coronavirus outbreak. Keeping health care teams safe has always been a top priority of HHI but especially in this fight against COVID-19.

As part of its corporate donation, Signet Jewelers – the world’s largest retailer of diamond jewelry operating the brand names of Zales, Kay Jewelers, Jared and James Allen – created a customized online sales promotion for its customers worldwide. The eCommerce program helped raise additional dollars and awareness for Heart to Heart International.

With Signet’s generous donation, additional PPE shipments were delivered to several U.S. metro cities and used by frontline healthcare workers. This shipment contained thousands of N95 masks, patient masks, face shields, exam gloves and gowns.  All items that health workers so desperately needed.

In addition, Heart to Heart International distributed more than 3,000 hygiene kits to homeless shelters, healthcare facilities, school districts, faith-based programs, food pantries, public safety organizations, and more. These kits include essential items to stay clean such as toothpaste, a washcloth, soap and shampoo. Basic hygiene to the most vulnerable populations offers the first line of defense against the spread of illness and the first step toward staying healthy.

Heart to Heart International is committed to stopping COVID-19 and to do this, we all must work together.

Thanks to partners like Signet who are stepping up to support these ongoing needs.
