Disaster Response Team

Disaster Response Team

When a major disaster strikes, Heart to Heart International (HHI) deploys a team of highly qualified responders equipped to rapidly deploy as a self-contained emergency medical team.

The Disaster Response Team (DRT) works in disaster zones to provide medical care, including triage, first aid, stabilization and referral of severe trauma, as well as basic emergency care of pediatrics, obstetrics and mental health needs. Backed by top-notch HHI logistical support, DRT members can focus on the task at hand – helping the survivors of a disaster.

Are you a medical or logistical professional and would like to use your skills to help those impacted by a disaster? Consider applying for the Disaster Response Team.

Medical Volunteers

Disasters often threaten the capacity of the healthcare system requiring surge support. Heart to Heart works in conjunction with local officials, hospitals and clinics to provide care. We are looking for MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs, RNs, Paramedics and EMTs to join our team of medical professionals.

Logistical Volunteers

It takes a lot to pull off a response in an area with damaged infrastructure – travel coordination, maintaining equipment, setting up generators, changing tires, securing supplies and coordinating with various agencies. HHI logistics volunteers are jack-of-all trades individuals who have the ability to keep the response moving in a variety of ways.
