Medical Aid Shipments
Community Health
HHI’s Community Health program works to bring together community organizations to help ensure that historically marginalized and underserved populations have access to the healthcare they need.
Together with more than 200 partners, we remove barriers and improve health equity. Some examples of the types of services the Community Health program offers include: arranging access to reliable transportation to neighborhood health clinics, translating educational materials in various languages, assisting clinics to extend business hours to allow for evening and weekend appointments and offering under or uninsured healthcare services free of charge.
Medical Aid Shipments
Heart to Heart International provides medicines, medical supplies, and hygiene supplies to support organizations throughout the United States.
These critical medicines and supplies are distributed to clinics, hospitals, schools, governmental departments and nonprofit organizations working to support medically under-resourced communities.
Components of Community Health
Hygiene Kits
Basic hygiene items support daily health and comfort. They help families stay clean, confident, and well in their everyday lives.
Medical Supplies
Medical equipment helps individuals live safely and more independently. These donations help people regain independence, improve quality of life, and prevent further health complications.
Vaccines
Vaccines protect families in underserved communities from preventable illness and severe health risks. Vaccination is a critical tool in stopping the spread of disease and safeguarding the health of those most vulnerable.
Diabetes Screening
We help screen for diabetes and identify individuals who may need follow-up care. Screenings catch early signs of diabetes before symptoms get worse. Early detection is crucial in managing the disease, preventing serious complications, and reducing long-term health risks.
Women’s Health
We’re bringing cancer screenings directly to women through our mobile medical units. These services make life-saving screenings more accessible for women in underserved communities, promoting early detection, improving health outcomes, and reducing barriers to care.
Mental Health
Mental health kits provide essential tools and resources to help individuals manage stress, build resilience, and access support—especially important in communities with limited access to mental health services. They help start important conversations and support emotional wellness.
Vision Screenings
We provide free vision screenings and glasses to students in need. Early vision care is essential for academic success, as untreated vision problems can impact learning, confidence, and long-term eye health—especially for children in underserved communities.
