When a major international disaster strikes, HHI deploys a team of highly qualified responders equipped to rapidly respond as a self-contained mobile medical team.

The Disaster Response Team (DRT) works in disaster zones to provide medical care including triage, first aid, stabilization and referral of severe trauma, as well as basic emergency care of pediatrics, obstetric and metal health needs. Backed by top-notch HHI logistical support, the DRT members can focus on the task at hand – helping victims of disaster.

If you are a medical or logistical professional with international response experience or similar skills, we want you!

We are recruiting volunteers in these fields:  Nurses, Physicians/Midlevel Providers (Emergency Medicine, General Practitioner, Family Medicine, Pediatrics), EMT/Paramedics, Physical Therapists, Mental Health, Logistics, Administration, Security

We accept groups of four or more to work alongside us to make a real difference in the lives of people in Haiti.

Both medical and non-medical groups are encouraged to join us in this Caribbean nation to work on projects that support public health and humanitarian development needs in communities where we serve.

The Hub is the core of HHI’s global distribution network. Working closely with the HHI staff you will have a hand in receiving, packaging and shipping medicine, supplies, hygiene kits and Ready Relief Boxes around the world!

Looking for some hands-on volunteering for your company, team or group?   A Volunteer Day at the Hub is perfect for just that.  We can accommodate small and large groups.

On your Volunteer Day your group will sort supplies and assemble hygiene kits – an integral part of HHI’s distribution network and disaster response efforts.  Plus, this is a great way to get to know your friends and co-workers in a whole new way!

We need volunteers who want to make a tangible difference right here in our very own community of Kansas City!  We have a series of upcoming community health events that have a variety of skills needed.  You could be medical, non-medical, retired, a stay-at-home parent, in college… we could certainly use your skills & your time!

Laboratory services are critical to making the right diagnosis and providing the correct treatment for a patient. 

Are you a university student or already working in the field of laboratory sciences?  Volunteer with us to improve lab services for under-served and vulnerable populations.

Volunteers keep us going.  We are lean and efficient and rely on committed individuals to augment our staff.  Support Volunteers help to keep HHI’s main office running smoothly, staff our reception area and depending on skill sets are assigned special projects.  Hours are flexible.
