Heart to Heart International received a donation of cancer medication and delivered a shipment of it to the Ponce Medical School Foundation in Puerto Rico. This turned out to be just in time to help an 83-year-old woman. This woman had planned to stop receiving her cancer treatment because she had, just that day, decided that she could not afford the steep deductible her insurance charged. She was going to skip treatment … until the donation showed up. She could then continue her medication – for free!
The Ponce Medical School Foundation delivered the medication to doctors throughout Puerto Rico, changing lives of hundreds of patients fighting cancer.
