World Refugee Day 2018

Around the world, millions of women, children and men are forced to flee their homes, their communities, their countries. They find themselves in tent cities filled with others also escaping danger and desperation. No one asks to be born in areas where violence and persecution prevail. No one wants to raise children who are terrified of a bomb dropping on their home. No one dreams of living in an economy so depressed that no one can afford to buy food to dampen the hunger in their empty bellies.

Health in the Heartland

The launch will start off with a series of dental and medical clinics beginning with a Dental Health Day at on Thursday, September 15th 9 AM – 5 PM at Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri. This event will be followed by a week of Hometown Health Days in nine communities: East Prairie, Wyatt, Charleston, Lilbourn, Morehouse, Holcomb, Wardell and Hayti from September 16-24th. This effort mobilizes local and out-off-state volunteer doctors, medical providers and community service agencies to work together to operate medical clinics in these nine locations in Mississippi, New Madrid, Dunklin and Pemiscot counties.
