Floods and mudslides have left millions homeless in Southeast Asia. Overflowing rivers have destroyed villages and crops. Over half the districts in Nepal have been significantly affected. Without intervention, the risk of disease is high, particularly cholera.
Heart to Heart International is working with Sundar Dhoka Saathi Sewa (SDSS), a Nepalese NGO that is responding to the medical needs of communities in the Terai district of Nepal. HHI and SDSS collaborated during the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake. SDSS has organized volunteer medical staff but needs support securing critical medicines and access to affected families in remote areas.
