Help for Honduras’ health clinics and babies

In Honduras, the need for medical supplies in healthcare facilities is a continuous and serious concern. These facilities are lifelines for the many men, women, and children living in vulnerable communities.

Heart to Heart International donates and delivers medicine and medical supplies through its Access to Medicine program to our partners at Food For The Poor, which then distributes them to many smaller clinics and facilities across Honduras.

These donations make a significant impact across the country because they not only equip the medical facilities for day-to-day care, but they also allow the facilities to continue to operate and provide care in times of emergency. Regions such as Puerto Cortes, Olancho, and other remote, underserved areas heavily rely on these vital medical supplies to deliver essential care to those who need it most.

For many of these facilities, their very sustainability hinges on the donations they receive. These contributions aren’t just helpful; they are a fundamental part of these healthcare centers’ ability to keep their doors open and continue serving their communities.

But the impact extends beyond healthcare facilities. Food For The Poor was able to reach out to new mothers in need and provide Johnson’s baby lotion, wash and shampoo, offering much-needed comfort and care to both infants and their parents.

“We are truly most grateful for this assistance,” said Heydy Bu, Food For The Poor’s In-Country Partner Representative.
