Hygiene Kits

In 2023, Heart to Heart International delivered more than 320,000 hygiene kits worldwide to people affected by humanitarian crises. Each kit includes soap, a washcloth, a toothbrush and several other items to help prevent illness during an emergency. This Humanitarian Day destination is where you roll up your sleeves and put your care into action. Sign up today on this webpage for one of five Hygiene Kit assembly sessions—each lasts about 45 minutes, and no experience is required.

Access to Medicine

Since its founding in 1992, HHI has sent more than $3 billion in medicines and supplies to more than 130 countries. Learn how medicine and medical aid are distributed throughout the globe when you get your Humanitarian Day passport stamped at this destination. Then, put your own stamp on one of our medical aid shipments by adding a personal message before it’s delivered to those in need.

Community Health

Working right here in Kansas City and the region, HHI’s Community Health partners with local and regional organizations to ensure that marginalized and underserved populations can access the healthcare they need. Please stop by this Humanitarian Day destination for interactive activities to learn about the Community Health program’s impact on our community.

Disaster Response

HHI responds to multiple disasters every year by sending aid—including essential medicine and volunteer medical teams—to the hardest-hit communities. This Humanitarian Day destination will offer field and container clinic tours with equipment demonstrations.

Mobile Medical Unit
Mobile Medical Unit

HHI’s Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) fulfills one of our primary missions: to quickly and efficiently provide on-the-spot medical treatment for people in need. Those who visit our Mobile Medical Unit destination on Humanitarian Day will tour our MMU, which provides patient treatment, privacy, safety and accessibility.

Please sign up early if you plan to participate in a hygiene kit assembly session—we can’t wait to see you!
