New Mobile Medical Unit arrives

Heart to Heart International has an exciting New Year’s arrival: a new Mobile Medical Unit!  As the largest vehicle in our now eight-vehicle fleet, this new 45-foot unit will bring medical supplies, medicine, equipment, and staff to sites of disasters all across the continental United States. 

The new Mobile Medical Unit provides improved patient treatment capabilities, better privacy, and enhanced safety and accessibility (including a wheelchair lift). Read more about this exciting addition!

Introducing new Senior Vice President of Programs

Christine Knudsen, Senior Vice President of Programs, joined Heart to Heart International in November and has jumped in with both feet!

Previously, she worked for UN Habitat in Nairobi, Kenya, and prior to that, she helped steer the revision of a handbook that sets minimum standards for humanitarian action around the world. Read more about her expansive international nonprofit career on our staff bio page.

HHI named in list of top 100 charities

Heart to Heart International was named one of America’s Top 100 Charities by Forbes Magazine in 2022.

Ukraine doctors meet with HHI team members

A team from Heart to Heart International met with representatives of the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine. HHI has been partnering with CMAU to improve healthcare in Ukraine by providing medications and supplies to support mobile medical clinics and existing health clinics.

 $7M in critical medicines to Sri Lanka

HHI has sent another donation of critical medicines to help the people in Sri Lanka. This shipment included  medicines to treat high blood pressure, mental health conditions, arthritis and more. HHI has now donated more than $19 million in medicines to Sri Lanka in 2022. “The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington D.C. is eternally grateful to Heart to Heart International for the generous donations that have been extended to the people of Sri Lanka at this critical juncture.
