Comprehensive Ukraine Response: Delivering Medical Aid and Support
Heart to Heart International has been actively involved in Ukraine relief efforts, providing substantial aid to support the health and well-being of those affected by the ongoing conflict. HHI has shipped over $222 million in medicines, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine. Our comprehensive Ukraine response includes the delivery of essential medical supplies, establishment of portable medical clinics, and distribution of hygiene kits to communities in need.

In response to the critical healthcare needs in Ukraine, Heart to Heart International has dispatched shipments of medicines and medical supplies. We’ve delivered over 111 million doses of medicine, addressing critical chronic and acute conditions. This includes essential treatments for cardiac, psychiatric, thyroid, gastrointestinal, anti-infective, and anti-inflammatory needs, ensuring that those suffering from illnesses receive the necessary care.
Our efforts have been multifaceted. Recognizing the devastating impact of the war on healthcare infrastructure, with over 900 facilities damaged or destroyed, we deployed 16 portable medical clinics. These clinics have been invaluable, serving as vital support alongside damaged hospitals and providing essential healthcare in rural regions where access is otherwise impossible.
Recognizing the importance of hygiene in preventing disease, Heart to Heart International has been proactive in distributing hygiene kits. We have also distributed nearly 200,000 hygiene kits, addressing the basic needs of displaced populations and those in frontline areas.
In a war-torn region like Ukraine, access to critical healthcare is essential for saving lives. To address urgent medical needs, Heart to Heart International has delivered 10 International Emergency Health Kits (IEHKs) to Ukraine. Each IEHK is designed to treat 10,000 patients for three months. Additionally, we’ve provided vital medical supplies, including exam gloves, needles, bandages, and mobility aids, to support hospitals and clinics. These supplies are crucial for both treating injuries and managing ongoing health concerns.
