To celebrate FedEx’s 50th birthday and to conclude its 50 Days of Caring initiative, FedEx team members volunteered at more than 60 different community service events around the globe. Volunteers worked with HHI to assemble thousands of hygiene kits in Memphis, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday, April 17, 2023. HHI helping in Mississippi tornado aftermath
Delta Health Center’s building in Rolling Fork, Mississippi, sustained major damage during the tornado that struck in March. Heart to Heart International deployed its mobile medical vehicles and portable health clinic to provide a safe and private space for patients to receive treatment while the clinic works to rebuild. HHI staff traveled to Panama to visit with our longtime partner Floating Doctors, which focuses on healthcare support for rural indigenous communities. On one trek to a local village, both HHI staff members tumbled down muddy hills. They got to experience how precious clean and safe water is for these communities and how important it is for communities to stay healthy. Read more about their experiences here!
One-year milestone for laboratory in Missouri
In honor of Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, HHI celebrated the one-year anniversary of a lab funded by a corporate partner, EVERSANA. Kim Carroll, CEO at HHI, and EVERSANA representative, Stephanie Davis, honored Dr. Wael Mourad, medical director of The Medina Clinic in Gladstone, Missouri, for the one-year milestone and success of the lab’s installation and patient treatment within the clinic. Helping diabetic care in Dominican Republic
Heart to Heart International works to improve access to health throughout the world with its Access to Medicine program. Through the program, HHI donates essential medical supplies and medications to partners, such as Cross Catholic Outreach, who distribute them to those in need. One of the organizations that hasreceived support from CCO and HHI is Hospital General El Buen Samaritano in the Dominican Republic. Read more about how this hospital provides quality care to all patients in its Diabetic Foot Care Center thanks to HHI’s Access to Medicine program.
