Firefighters have been battling a severe outbreak of wildfires across Colorado in July. Multiple blazes continue burning throughout the state, including the Aspen Acres Fire, which has grown to become the seventh-largest wildfire in the state’s recorded history. The fires have led to more than 11,000 mandatory evacuations, destroyed over 780 structures, and threaten an estimated 4,000 additional buildings.
Our Response
Heart to Heart International is coordinating relief efforts with local partners in Colorado. A shipment of essential supplies was delivered and distributed by Hope Starts Here Food Bank.
The delivery includes:
- 600 Hygiene Kits containing basic personal care products for displaced residents.
- 600 Packets of DripDrop Oral Rehydration Powder to help evacuees and volunteers stay hydrated.
With high temperatures impacting the area, access to clean water, rehydration solutions, and personal hygiene supplies is critical for displaced families and local emergency responders.
